Nottingham.

I visited Nottingham a few weeks ago and had a good stickybeak around. The city is stuffed with attractive old buildings. Unfortunately, (or fortunately) the city centre seems to be undergoing massive rebuilding projects :-

“Nottingham city centre is undergoing a major multi-billion-pound regeneration focused on transforming the former Broad Marsh shopping centre into a mixed-use space with 1,000 homes, green areas, and new retail/offices. Key projects include the completed Green Heart park, the new central library, and the forthcoming pedestrian Waterside Bridge.”

A vibrant city that seems to be reinventing itself after its recent bankruptcy. Let’s hope all goes well and they don’t end up with a massive city centre hole, as experienced recently in Bradford.
