Photo No Nos
A photography book edited by Jason Fulford.
This book, put together by Jason Fulford, is probably the best book about photography that I have read. He's asked over 200 prominent photographers what is a no no for them. From Abenavoli to Zorzi, these photographers cover every type of photography imaginable. It's a funny, annoying, serious, sad journey through the comments of these photographers. The book is arranged alphabetically by topics, ranging from Abandoned Buildings to Zoom Screenshots. As I started reading the book I realised that I totally disagreed with some categories, others left me cold, I needed my own evaluation system to pencil in my thoughts. If I agreed with a no no I gave it a tick, if I disagreed, it got a cross and if it made no sense to me I gave it a question mark, sometimes using combinations of all three. The intensity of feeling was shown in how large I wrote these signs.. Another tip is to have a phone or tablet to hand to look up the photographers and see their work online. However you approach this book you will be engaged…
The book is readily available online and is a great read. Click on the book for a link.
